Book of the Month:What I Talk About When I Talk About Running: A Memoir Author: Haruki Murakami Author’s Home Page: https://harukimurakami.com/ Area of Focus: Motivation for All Runners, Life Experiences

Note: Published with Multiple Covers Japanese writer and committed running enthusiast, Haruki Murakami eloquently shares his life experiences through the lens of running. His desire to stay in the game and keep running and participating in events, including marathons and ultras is inspiring. As runners’ we can easily connect with Murakami’s emotions, from highs to lows about life, running, family, culture and humanity. When I talk to so many of my running friends, often they credit this book as their “go to” motivator over and over again. Murakami weaves a sense of creativity and imagination on gaining mental health during and through long distance running, something all runners aim to achieve. A short read and available on Audiobook, it makes a great life inspiring resource to visit and revisit over again.
